Cash Cab service is a unique digital banking service that has been designed through an application to be downloaded on mobiles to meet the needs of customers. By using Cash Cab App, set of transactions and financial transfers can be made where it provides package of special and innovative services that enable them to proceed e-payment processes through the Cash Cab App easily and in safely way where you can charge it easily either through the bank account or one of the agents.

How to use and register a Cash Cab:

  • A customer shall download the Cash Cab App through Google Play for Android devices and from Apple Store for iPhone or can login the website of the bank
  • Cash Cab will be as tentative until the customer visits the nearest branch of the PIB to complete procedures of opening Cash Cab account, then SMS will be sent to that customer which confirms his/her subscription of Cash Cab Service and activation code where he/she can enjoy the service.
  • Cash Cab Account must be linked with mobile number of any network operator within the Palestinian Authority territories.
  • The service is not only for customers of PIB, but any user may subscript to Cash Cab Service even if he/she has no account maintained with PIB.

Definitions

  1. Service(s): is the money payment service via mobile phone offered by PIB, the subject matter of this contract, under which a Mobile account is opened for the customer with PIB to use it either to deposit a/or withdraw and/or e-Payments and/or e-Transfer of funds via Mobile Phone, and deposit e-Balance into the account
  2. Bank: means the Investment Bank and all of its branches operating in Palestine
  3. Service Provider: is any entity which the Bank may contract with to provide services related to perform the Service as authorized by the Bank – Note that the service provider shall declares its license number issued by the Bank, if any, and shall put it in a prominent place of the store through which the customer makes sure of the service provider’s legality.
  4. Customer: is any natural person subscripted with the service, the subject matter of this contract; provided that he/she must have a Mobile Phone and shall sign this application.
  5. Mobile Phone Account: a mobile phone e-account opened with the Bank under the name of the customer through which deposit, withdraw and transfer processes of the customer can be made.
  6. e-Balance: is the credit balance of e-cash units for the Mobile Phone Account resulted from deposit and withdraw processes carried out under the knowledge of the customer on the Mobile Phone Account. This e-Balance is transferable to any other customers and/or service providers and can be used as a tool to pay to other parties as announced by the Bank.
  7. e-Cash Units: means e-units of cash value where each e-unit equates one US dollar or one Jordanian Dinar or one Israeli Shekel only which the Bank issues; provided the Bank must receive monetary value of the same currency which shall not be less than the value of that e-cash units issued by the Bank and can be replaced by the same currency in which it was issued.
  8. Mobile Phone: is any mobile phone compatible with any of the mobile operators networks operating within the Palestinian Authority territories and compatible with these networks
